TEENAGE GIRL DISCOVERED BY DOG WALKER AFTER BEING STABBED IN SUFFOLK

A teenage girl was left lying for five hours after being stabbed multiple times around 2am on Sunday in Benhall near Saxmundham, Suffolk, before being discovered in the early morning by a dog walker.

At around 7am, police confirmed that she was found near the junction of Aldecar Lane and Benhall Green. She was treated for stab wounds and a back injury by Paramedics from the East of England Ambulance Service. She is now stable at Ipswich hospital.

Suffolk Police also said they arrested a 17-year-old boy on suspicion of assault causing grievous bodily harm with intent. He has been taken for questioning at the Police Investigation Centre at Martlesham near Ipswich. A Suffolk Police statement said:

"There is currently a police cordon at the scene while investigations are carried out."


"Both the victim and suspect are known to each other, and at this time police are treating it as an isolated incident with no wider threat to the public."
