POLICE OFFICER SACKED FOR HIDING IN SUSPECTS WARDROBE

A member of Greater Manchester Police, Bolton division was fired yesterday following allegations of discreditable conduct and honesty and integrity.

PC Elaine Taylor has been found guilty of found guilty of gross misconduct and released from her position immediately. The disgraced officer was found hiding in a wardrobe on 8th January 2020 whilst the police were performing a search of the property.

Detective Sergeant Tony Dixon commented: ‘We hold all of our police officers and staff to the highest standard and, unfortunately, PC Taylor fell below those standards. We remain committed to addressing any misconduct of any kind, at any rank, and will take swift and robust action to ensure we maintain the confidence of the public we serve.'
