BROTHERS AND COUSIN PICTURED AS ALL FOUR FROZEN LAKE VICTIMS ARE NAMED

BY CATHY NICOLE CARR
The picture above shows brothers Finlay (left) and Samuel with their cousin Thomas Stewart (right) who have been named as three of the children who died after falling into a frozen lake in Solihull, West Midlands.

The latest victim of the tragedy has been named as six-year-old Samuel Butler, who is thought to have gone to Babbs Mill Lake on Sunday afternoon with his older sibling Finlay, eight, and their cousin Thomas Stewart, 11, to feed the ducks.

When the ice gave way beneath them, causing them to fall into the freezing water, police officers and onlookers – including hero 11-year-old Jack Johnson – tried to save them but to no avail.

Finlay, Thomas and Jack were all declared dead at hospital that same evening before Sam too lost his battle after spending three days in intensive care.
